After bolting the arm in place, I had
to mark the new spot that it was going to enter the floor at. I used a
felt-marker and traced around the arm next to the firewall. Then I
drilled a 3/8" diameter hole so I could have a starting point to
grind from.

This is what it looked like so it
would fit. The hole is kinda big now but I can patch this later so no
big deal. So far...so good!!

Now that's MUCH better don'tchathink?
Look how much clearance I have now compared to how it was. This is just
how I wanted it to turn out so it's time to take it out and weld it
up.

Plenty of extra on the inside now too.
I'll measure things after I do the final welding and then trim off the
excess later.
