The trick to getting the oversized ball into the smaller hole is to soak in water for two whole days. This opens the pores of the wood enough to except the ball without cracking. Well, In theory anyways. I used a 1/4" wood dowel and wedged it between the walls of the bucket to keep it in place. So there you have it...
