After talking to a retired fire captain, this old water
pumper needed four guys to operate. After about four or five minutes,
they would rotate with four fresh guys as the first ones were tired.

This shot is looking down into the water pumper. You can also see the two
valves attached to the pump.

This was one of four trucks ever made according to the captain. The
story goes that the other three were taken to Mexico and scraped leaving
the one as the sole survivor.
