| Bart used a
local guys towing service to move the body from his place to mine. With
the help of my dollies fastened to a large wooden pallet, the body was winched
up on a flatbed truck. Once the body was back on the ground, Bart, his
brother Paul, the tow-truck driver and myself, lifted the body off the
pallet and onto the chassis. I didn't know what to expect when we all
lifted the body as far as weight goes because I've always used my engine
hoist for that duty. After doing a test lift just to see how heavy it
was, the body really didn't weigh that much so it wasn't a problem
lifting it. Once we did our test lift, Bart remembered that
the firewall needed to be buffed out because once it was on the chassis,
the engine would be in the way so he ran back home and brought back the
needed goodies to shine it up. While Bart was gone, I took that opportunity
to install the shifter because getting at those two bolts with the
transmission in the way is a pain so it all worked out for the better.
