First I'd like to say "Happy New Years" to everyone.
As most of you know, the weather around So. Ca. stays nice most of
the year and our winters don't really amount to very much cold or rain.
In fact, our rainy season is January through March and if the weather is
anything like last year, their will be a lot of car shows again this
year. And that's a good thing if your a gear head that likes to
attend outdoor functions as much as possibly like we are.
With that being said, the first car show of 2008 season
was held in nearby Moreno Valley at a place called Sunnymead Hamburgers
on Jan. 12th between 4 and 8pm. The weather was in the 50's but dropped
to the 40's with a slight breeze by the time we left.
The turnout that night wasn't to bad, but not nearly as good as I've
seen it on a warmer night. I guess all the ones that did show up had cabin fever
like we did. Let's take a look at some of the hot rods that made the show.
This is a 1957 Dodge Coronet that was in perfect shape and looked
awesome. The guy did his own upholstery and the paint was done at Maco,
no kidding!!
