I have three car shows to cover this time and I'm going
to treat it like the last update, which will be very little commentary
because of the large amount of pictures for some of them. The Spring Breakfast Cruise Night held at Bob's Big Boy
was on May 25 from 2 - 5 pm in Calimesa. This show is close to home,
fills up fast and pulls in some nice cars. They have a good raffle,
50/50 drawing, games and prizes for the whole family.
That was the good news but the bad news is I forgot to bring my
camera. I ended up winning an award that day and will remember it next
time. BTW, the next show at Bob's will be Sunday, August 10th from 2 - 5
if you want to join us.
The Third Annual Cherry Fest car and motorcycle show was on May 31,
at Stewart Park in Beaumont. The show hours were from 10 am to 2 pm and
the weather was perfect with all the proceeds going to the Beaumont
Kiwanis Club. Your entry got you a T-Shirt (any size) a lunch ticket and
goodie bag.
The first and second year of this show brought in a lot of cars,
trucks and motorcycles and this year was no exception with over 90 in attendance.
Everyone gets to park on the grass (which is something
I really like) and is in a neighboring town that is only five miles from
my house.
Larry and I arrived just after eight that morning and found a place
to park that wasn't to close to the live band that played oldies and
classic rock all day. There was also a huge raffle and a 50/50 drawing,
so we bought a few tickets and settled in for the afternoon. |
