Car shows seem to be everywhere these
days but one of the closer and cooler ones are held over at Bob's Big
Boy in Calimesa (about four times a year). The last one was held on
Sunday, August 12th from 2 to 5 pm and if you don't get there early, you won't
get a good parking spot. We arrived at about 12:30 and a bunch of cars
were already their. Once we found a place to park, we went inside to
have some lunch because the weather was over the century mark with
little to no wind which made for a hot afternoon.
Bob's had a great turn-out of cars and the place
was filled in no time. Once we had signed in and had our raffle tickets
in hand, we settled in for the show.
This is what people are greeted with as they come out of Bob's Big
Boy. And the sea of vehicles wrap around to the right for another row
that looked just like this one.

This was one super clean Chevy Impala
that was almost all stock. And around here, that's pretty rare.

This is one fine looking Ford pickup.
The engine compartment and interior are done to perfection just like the outside is.

32 Ford's are just so cool to me and this one didn't
disappoint at all. Powered by a small block Chevy and a Turbo 350, I'm
sure this would get you in the fast lane in no time.

This was one of three Corvair's at the show that day.
But unlike the others, this one stood out from the rest.
