May 20th. If you remember from last week, I needed
to relocate my throttle pedal assembly over to the right a little more and
this is what I came up with to do that. The piece that you see below is
a plate that has a series of holes in it so it's adjustable. The plate
is 3/8" thick and has two 10-32 tapped holes on the left hand side which
will bolt to the firewall. My throttle pedal assembly was originally
bolted in this location but now this plate will end up there. The other
six holes are for adjustment and are .400" apart. This will give me a
total of three locations with up to 1.200" of offset which should help
out a bunch.

This is the back side and the throttle pedal assembly
will be held to this plate with flat head screws. This plate will be
held against the carpet with two screws just like the throttle pedal
assembly was before.

I'm going to use the center holes which will give me .800" of offset and
will be my starting point. I don't know if this is the right spot or not
but I've got to start someplace.

I also machined three more grooves into the pin which are also .400"
apart so they match the hole pattern. Once I find the exact location
that works for me, I can cut the pin down so it doesn't stick out as
far.

Here is the new location for the pedal and so far it seems to be enough
clearance. Once I take it for a test drive I'll know more but right now
I'm pretty happy with it. On the other hand I'm not happy with the
pedals not matching so that will be on my list of things to change too.
I could leave it like this and it would work fine but I don't like the
mismatch so look for me making a new throttle pedal in the near future.
